Why ME as your coach 

My name is Jan Bono, and I was a classroom teacher for thirty years. During that time, I kept my students happily motivated and progressing successfully through their state-mandated learning objectives. I have a strong background in task analysis, behavior modification, goal-setting and holding my students accountable to achieve their highest potential. I also taught them to have fun.

I facilitated my teachers’ union by completing training in advanced negotiations and bargaining, member advocacy, contract maintenance, and conflict resolution. I served numerous terms as a union officer and building representative, thereby learning additional communication and business-oriented skills.

As chairperson of the school district’s Supportive Learning Committee for many years, I facilitated staff morale-building opportunities and activities.  I championed the notion that “having fun” at work is integral to job satisfaction. I enjoy helping others achieve their maximum potential, believe that both teaching and coaching are a calling, and I am transitioning to coaching as a natural outgrowth of my life function.
